Sakar Society Activities
In addition to providing academic, Social and behavioural education to MR children
The Society also provide counseling to parents of Special Children, help them to get Assistance from Composite Regional Centre for rehabilitation of disabled persons (CRC), Sunder Nagar and also help them out to get medical certificate and other Govt aided benefits.
Sakar Society in collaboration with CRC also organize free medical aid
Camps where crutches, hearing aids, walkers, walking sticks and wheel chairs etc
Are distributed to disabled/needy persons. Sakar Society also organize free health Check up camps with the help of Beas Bhakra Management Board (BBMB) hospital Sundernagar at health camps where health of children and their parents is checked Up by doctors of BBMB hospital. Sakar Society also provide home based education to needy special children with help of its special teachers under Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan Mandi our society regularly conduct surveys of surrounding areas to find out children with Special needs (CWSNs) and to help them. Sakar society also take part in the Functions organized by the red cross and welfare department at district level.
